Elon Musk recently conducted the Tesla Cybertruck delivery event, featuring dubstep music and neon lighting. The livestreamed event, lasting around 30 minutes, showcased Musk handing the first Cybertrucks to customers like Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian and Trousdale Ventures CEO Phillip Sarofim. Despite the flashy presentation, key details about the electric pickup were revealed. The Cybertruck will be available in three configurations, with the cheapest version, a rear-wheel drive, priced at $60,990, becoming available in 2025. Two other versions, an all-wheel drive and a high-performance Cyberbeast, have starting prices of $79,990 and $99,990, respectively. A range extender option was introduced, providing longer ranges for both versions. However, specific details on the range extender's cost remain undisclosed. Notably, the current pricing and specifications differ from Musk's initial 2019 announcements. The Cybertruck boasts impressive features like bulletproofing, a drag coefficient of 0.335, 35-inch all-terrain tires, and a 48-volt electrical system. The vehicle's exterior includes armored glass resistant to baseball impacts. Inside, the Cybertruck features an 18.5-inch touchscreen, a 15-speaker sound system, wireless charging, and a built-in HEPA air filter.
